[HokieVolunteers] Fall Volunteer Opportunities w/ the Virginia Tech Alumni Association

The DC VT Alumni Chapter has been working hard to provide new and exciting
opportunities this year and we hope you have noticed!  We want to provide
more to the chapter, but we cannot grow without your help!  Are you looking
to get involved and make a difference? Please see below for some needs that
the chapter has and contact the appropriate person if you are interested and
able to serve.  GO HOKIES!

*COMMUNITY SERVICE COMMITTEE / CO-CHAIR*

We are looking for volunteers to help us plan meaningful service activities
for the association.  Do you already have something you enjoy doing?  Why
not get your other Hokie friends involved and bring more people out?  Contact

*SOCIAL COMMITTEE / CO-CHAIR*

We have *a lot *of events coming up over the next year including happy hours
and game watching parties, a Black Tie Gala, a White House Tour, a Chili
Cook-off, and some events that we haven't even thought of yet.  Looking to
meet some other folks and help plan some new events?  Contact

*JOB FAIR COMMITTEE / CO-CHAIR*

The Job Fair has become an annual event for our chapter that has won us
numerous awards and is the chapter's largest fundraiser.  If you would like
to help plan this year's job fair while having the chance to network with
companies and other sponsors, contact marvin.boyd at ncrhokies.org to sign-up.
We will be kicking this event off in October.



*WEBMASTER*

Our website is the single most important way for us to get the word out;
however, we are finding we haven't kept up with technology!  If you can
program in Java or PHP or are interested in helping drive the organization's
technology needs, contact marvin.boyd at ncrhokies.org.



*MEMBERSHIP DIRECTOR*

We have all moved to a new place and have felt that we didn't know a lot of
people.  The Membership Director will help welcome new members to the area
by reaching out in new and creative ways. Contact

*HOKIE CLUB LIASION*

We are looking to work more closely this year with the DC Hokie Club, the
athletic club.  The volunteer would be responsible for coordinating events
and keeping the information flowing between the two organizations.  Contact

CPA

Our chapter has quickly grown and we are finding ourselves in need of some
discounted (or donated!) tax services.  If you, or someone you know can
